Here are Shana's thoughts about Sheila Simms Watson "The Miami Midwife": Overall, Nevyn’s birth was a very positive experience. I won’t say easy, but compared to Cody’s birth, it was much more ‘by the books’ if there is such a thing. There was no point where I thought I was going to die, and if there was a transition period, it was very very quick. I would wish a similar experience for all of you (minus the placenta delay).

Nevyn's Birthing Story

Well, I guess you’ve heard, Nevyn arrived Saturday. Here’s the detail that only childbirth class mom want to know……..

I had some contractions that woke me up around 2:30am. Still coming at 4:30am, I started to keep an eye on the clock. They were about 15-20 minutes apart. We all got up around 8:30. I told Mike that I had been having contractions and this might be the beginning, but I wasn’t really sure yet. He suggested I call Sheila. I said I’d give it another hour.
